For the first time since March I living a life without WI's, at least for the next two weeks. My rationale is 1)I did a long run (10 miles)on Monday & figured I'd put on weight before WI because of water retention in my repairing muscles & 2)next week's carbo loading before my race would also add weight. I don't want any negative thoughts leading up to next week's race so I'm not going to WI again until 10/04.
The only problem I have been eating everything in sight. How many points in an Oreo Cookie Pop Tart? It tasted like chocolate cardboard with frosting & yet I enjoyed it. Popcorn has lots of fiber but, the butter I poured all over it last night does not. Thanks goodness there's no beer or cheese in the house. I'm like a puppy off the leash. I think I have it under control now but, it's amazing how fast the wheels come off.
The Beer Challenge is still on. No progress has been made. No weight loss means no beer. Focus,Pete, focus. Less Pete means more beer. Talk about a carrot on a stick.
