Number Crunching: Wait 'Til Next Year Granny!

I'm looking at the numbers from the results of Applefest 2006.

I finished in 1:59:04.

I placed 459th out of 911 finishers. They start picking up runners on the road after 3 hours. There were 1200 openings so, that means 289 registered runners don't get an official time. That kind of sucks.

I place 34th out of 49 in my age division: 45-49 year old men.

My time was faster than the 70 year man who won his age division (2:09:23).

I was somewhere around the 8 mile mark when the winner of the race crossed the finish line (1:12:20).

I was somewhere around the 9 mile mark when the women's overall winner & the men's 45-49 winner crossed the line (1:23:41 & 1:23:55 respectively).

I finished just behind the winners of the women runners in the 60-64 division & the 65-69 division, 5:33 & 3:17 respectively.

I ran a good race Saturday. I can run a better race next year. I think I should be able to shave 5-6 minutes off my finishing.

So, let me state it here & now.

Watch your ass Granny. I'm coming after you.
