Abducted by Aliens?

I went for a ten mile run last night. It was my only non-race long run since the end of September. My original plan was to be done with my run before the Patriots game at 8.

I cooked dinner (killer stir-fry,I must say)& had planned to be out the door by 6 PM for my planned 9 miler. At a stately 10 mph I figured I'd be back by 7:30, plenty of time to shower & eat before the game.

Well, as it turns out I didn't get through cooking until after 6. I told Alka I'd be home by 7:30 so, she could eat if Priyanka & her were hungry (dinner time is usually at 7)or wait for me. It wasn't a speedy run. I ran at a slower pace. The idea of the long run being the distance is the focus not the speed. Well, when I walked into the kitchen after my run the clock said 8:20 not 7:30.

What the Hell? Why was I fify minutes later than I planned? Figure ten minutes of fiddle-farting around suiting up,lacing up the shoes, taking a leak. I screwed up my mileage & wound up running 10 miles instead of 9. It took 1h 34 m. After I ran I dragged some bags of raked leaves down to the curb for trash pickup. That took maybe 5 minutes. That should've put me back in the house around 7:45.

I have 35 minutes of unaccounted for time. Did I leave the house that much later than I thought? Did I mess up the timing on my watch?

Was I abducted by aliens? My legs are sore not my ass. I don't believe I was the victim of an alien rectal probe. My knee is sore this morning. Maybe some space guy conducted cruel experiments on my right knee last night. Scotty beam me up.
