WI Wednesday

I haven't written much since last week. I've been busy with other things & haven't had anything new to post. I went back OP strictly after last week's paltry WI & have continued with the exercise. I'm probably averaging running 3-4 times a week. My nordic track & rowing have been done on alternate days. I should probably give my body a day off from exercise; maybe tonight after WI. I really have to do better with the cross training. Tonight I'm going to at least do some sit-ups & push-ups. My stomach muscles are sore from the increase running mileage & my core really needs extra attention.

I weighed 187 & change this morning before dressing. Add 5-6 lbs for my shoes & my projected WI tonight should be around 193. If I make that it will be about a 4 lb weight loss. That's more than WW would like you to lose per week but, I think last week's was off because (excuse the TMI)I went to the King Buffett & ate about of year's worth of meat (for me)& might've been a bit "bound-up" at WI last Wednesday. Today should be much better,I should breeze my way to my 10% goal.

I've been frequenting the WW message board; two threads in particular I check practically every day.

The WW Daily Indian Thread, which is usually started by a woman named Kaldave. She has a website that posts WW points' ratings for a lot of Indian food. It's more comprehensive than WW's point trackers & it has recipes for a lot of the food DW & my MIL cooks. I may try cooking some of them myself. Kaldave is also the person who gave me the idea to try 21 Day Challenge (which I completed Tuesday). It's a nice thread,I feel like I'm visiting with DW's family.

The 2nd thread is Let's Get Running. It deals mostly with running & has an expanding group of people who post daily. The posters are at different levels of fitness: beginners & experienced runners both. It's a very positive thread. I like it because the emphasis is on running first & WW second; it's just a basic assumption (it seems)that if you're running you're probably losing weight too. I started running again on 4/20/06 & haven't done a lot of training for about 20 years. I don't run with anybody else at this point so the runners on Let's Get Running are the closest thing I have to a training partner. It's been very helpful but, it can also be insidious. I've gone from a born again novice runner to one who's signed up for a half marathon in September & am contemplating a return eventually to marathoning. It's all Let's Get Running's fault.
