Jogging Godzilla & Halloween Candy

Yesterday was my second day of marathon training.

I was supposed to run 5 miles at easy pace, possibly speeding it up towards the end. It was cool when I first stepped out of the house so, I went back in to get my running jacket. I didn't walk a warmup lap around the block before I started.
I felt like Godzilla. My pace was very lumbering. I actually ran the first mile in 10:30, maybe slower. I should've warmed up before I began. By mile two I was back to around a 9:00 pace, that was good. About 2.5 miles in I started to get a pain in my knee. I never get pains in my knees. I also attributed this to improper warmup. I cut the run short at 3.4. It was a good decision. It wasn't a great workout but, I can live with it. Just another step on my way to Hyannis.

We have leftover Halloween candy. We handed out Skittle,Sour Skittle, fruity candies. I'll eat it but,it's not my favorite. Priyanka brought home Halloween candy from Trick-or-Treating with her friends. She had already pulled out the Reeses P'butter cups because she knows that's my favorite. Sweet girl. Chocolate candy's tougher to resist than Skittle-like stuff. I must've eaten 4 little Snickers bars before dinner last night. What a wimp. Can't wait for this stuff to be gone so, I don't have to live with the temptation.
